Confirmed sighting of missing Notts police sergeant Colin Evans in Nottingham city centre
Officers investigating the disappearance of Mansfield sergeant Colin Evans now have a confirmed sighting of him in Nottingham City Centre.
The 51-year-old was seen around 6pm last night, seven hours after being reported missing by his wife.
Enquiries are now ongoing to follow up leads on the back of this sighting.
Chief Inspector Paul Winter said: “It’s encouraging insofar as we now know for certain that he was in Nottingham city centre yesterday evening. However, he remains unaccounted for and we are still very keen to find him and ensure he is safe and well.”

Colin finished a night shift at Mansfield police station around 7am on Monday (11 March). He then attended King’s Mill Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries from a fall and discharged. He is thought to have left the hospital around 9am, on foot.
Around 11am, his wife contacted police, stating that her husband hadn’t returned home, which was out of character.
At 11.30am yesterday he was seen by a colleague, who saw him walking along Blidworth Lane, off Southwell Road East, near Rainworth.
