College course is piece of cake
A SHORT education course has helped a mum-of-two from Bagthorpe promote her cake-decorating business.
Joanna Shephard, 35, attended a sugar craft course at West Notts College, Mansfield.
The course taught her how to make characters, roses and other decorations on cakes and put these skills into use. She has now created a new Facebook page for the business – Cake Creations by Jo Shephard.
She said: "I don't make enough for my business to make lots of profits. but it gives me a purpose and I thoroughly enjoy what I do. It has given me a fantastic boost to be able to pursue this new career."
