Clubs: Wake-up call as Firefly returns
A RANGE of new events in the city sees an old friend in a daring return to the mixer.
The Big Bang Theory is Firefly's latest and most ambitious club creation to date and promoter Jeet Das believes this heaving, mini-festival event is just the tonic to arouse a hibernating Clubbingham.

Jeet, whose events have been absent from Nottingham's clubbing calendar for a while, said: "The last time we were in Nottingham was for the eighth birthday, but we are back with a bang, with so much in store."
Firefly's newest project will see Nottingham Trent University transformed.
"We will be covering a broad musical spectrum that's bursting with a dazzling carnival atmosphere," Jeet said.
"Pulled across three rooms of mayhem, it will be mangled beautifully in an explosion of colours.
"You can expect the most insane techno, house, drum and bass, indie, funk and hip-hop within a club setting like you've never experienced before. Think raving amidst the Cirque Du Soleil – it must be seen to be believed."
Jeet is also behind the opening of a new weekly gathering – BedBug – new to Thursday nights at Bar Eleven in Hockley.
The bar's intimate surroundings will showcase new music from all corners of the globe.
Each event will also be free and so far Matthew Dear, Get Physical DJs, Drumcode DJs and Alex Smoke are booked. And of course, the original techno and breaks fest, Firefly, now nine years young, will be blasting her way back to welcome dancers both new and old.
It will be returning to Lenton's Marcus Garvey Centre soon.
On Saturday November 15, Nottingham hero and electronic music legend, Andrew Weatherall, will be appearing for Firefly having been in the pipeline for many years.
Elite Force, of Use and Abuse Recordings, will be in support.
