Clifton beat Boots to go top
CLIFTON went top of the NSL Senior Division after a narrow win over rivals Boots.
The Chemists began the day four points behind Clifton in third place and fell further back after Danny Gunn and prolific pair Barry Turner and Michael Evans gave their side a 3-2 victory.
Previous leaders Basford were held to a draw by Notts Police, and only rescued a point late on through an Ash Murdock penalty.
Gaz Mercer had earlier given Police the lead.
Bilborough Pelican continued their fine form with an emphatic 6-2 win over Hucknall Rolls Leisure. Liam Thompson (2), Danny Henshaw, Matt Eastwood and Danny Blanchard made it 5-0 to the champions before the break.
Blanchard added the sixth in a second half in which Rolls grabbed two consolations through Chris Sharples and John Wass.
Caribbean Cavaliers ended their poor run with their first win in five thanks to a Richard Bolton hat-trick in a 4-1 win at Bulwell.
Kimberley's Jake Fisher also notched a treble as they thrashed Cotgrave CW 5-1, Jenas and Shepard completing the rout.

Bulwell were beaten 4-3 by Magdala Res, while Kieran Bradshaw's effort saw Ruddington Res beat Awsworth Villa Res.
