Councillor Collins will join around 80 cyclists making their way down to Cannes on their bikes. They will leave London on Wednesday 6th March hoping to complete the 938 miles course in just six days. The course is broken down into 28 stages, each of 40-60 kilometres.
Councillor Collins said: “This is an important cause and I’m pleased to do what I can to bring the Foundation’s goals closer to reality. A few years ago we raised over £25,000 by completing the Three Peaks Challenge in under 24 hours for the Danielle Beccan Trust. I hope this time I can raise a significant amount of money for another important cause.”
Councillor Collins can be sponsored for his bike ride online here

“"Does his trip coincide with the City Council's annual jucket in Cannes where they hire a yacht at vast expense to the taxpayer in the futile hope of attracting employers to Nottingham ?" --- harrystotle
I believe it coincided with the Council taking part in an annual event at which the promote the city, paid for by comapnies who are smart enough to invest in such promotional opportunities, not the taxpayer.
But you never did let little matters like facts stand in the way of your irrational hatred for the Counvil did you, harrystotle?”

“And I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand him! I still haven't figured out why people keep voting for him and his numnut mates every election though.”

“Cliftononion, do you believe that style matters more than substance? What about Boris Johnson's 'appearance'?”
