CHLAMYDIA testing kits are going to be available from the back of city cabs.

In addition to the 'Condoms in Taxis' scheme, NHS Nottingham City has joined up again with A2B Cars to provide the kits to customers.

Postal Chlamydia screening kits will be free to all customers aged 18 or above.

People just need to take the kit home and then post it back to the lab.

The scheme is aimed at increasing take up of Chlamydia screening in under 25s, encouraging use of condoms by reducing the stigma, and reducing Sexually Transmitted Infections.

Ian Brough, A2B Cars business development manager, said: "We are proud to be involved in the additional scheme to the already successful 'Condoms in Taxis' pilot.

"With the condoms and screening kits being placed in the back of our vehicles, customers can take them without the embarrassment of having to ask.

"Once the holders are empty our drivers re-fill them."

The scheme runs until the end of December.

Information on Sexually Transmitted Infections or any aspect of sexual health is available from www.gotitcovered.org.uk or contact NHS direct on 0845 46 47.

“If they stopped throwing money at pregnant teens they wouldn't sleep around so much. They only do it so they don't have to get a job and contribute anything to the society that's kept their parents and them quite happily for the last 20 years. Chlamydia can make you sterile - fingers crossed eh!”

    “too right aj, spot on!

We don't want people checking for STDs, or getting free contraception and taking care of their health and the health of others.

No i'd much rather risk fertility (of BOTH genders) and contribute to the UK's proud accolade as the *worst* in Europe for STIs and the *worst* in europe for teenage pregnancy!

Well i never whatever next eh?”
