Chilwell soldiers return home after Afghanistan tour
SOLDIERS have today celebrated returning home to Nottingham from a six-month tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Around 60 members of the 63 Works Group Royal Engineers were cheered by their families and friends upon their return to Chetwynd Barracks, in Chilwell, at around 3pm.

A celebration was held at the barracks to mark the unit's return to the base.
63 Works Group were one of five units that together formed the 170 (Infrastructure Support) Engineer Group Royal Engineers which has been based at the UK Armed Force's Camp Bastion in Afghanistan for the last six months.
They helped to build £100m of infrastructure, both on the base and in the wider Afghan community.
The full 170 (Infrastructure Support) Engineer Group Royal Engineers unit will parade through Beeston on Saturday.
