Chester survival hopes boosted following win over Notts
MARK Wright believes Chester have given themselves a fighting chance of staying in the Football League with victory against Notts.
The Blues' boss admitted his side were gifted two goals at Meadow Lane – but praised his side's resolute defending in the face of late pressure from the Magpies.
And he was delighted to complete the league double over Ian McParland's side.
He said: "It is a great three points for us. They put us under a lot of pressure at times but we expected that because they are a big, strong and quality side.
"They will not be happy with their defending but I thought we defended brilliantly to hold on. The win gives us a fighting chance of keeping ourselves up."
