Chambers signs eight for Hucknall

HUCKNALL Town have swooped for eight new players as manager Bryan Chambers bids to rebuild the squad following relegation to the UniBond Premier Division.

In come right back-cum-midfielder Fabian Smith (Carlton), goalkeeper Daniel Haystead (Ilkeston), winger Terry Hawkridge (Carlton) and striker, Lee Whittington (Retford United).

Also signing on are central defender Lee Wild (Ilkeston), midfielder Scott Ellis (Buxton), goalkeeper Jake Pearson (Hucknall Town Colts) and right-back Gareth Vardy (Shepshed Dynamo).

Blue Square Premier Ilkeston Town have snapped up midfielder Josh Burge (Grimsby), central defender Richie Holmes (Chesterfield) and midfielder Alex White (Tow Law Town).

    “Terry Hawkridge was actually signed from Gedling Miners Welfare FC not Carlton Town. Terry joined us from Carlton last february. We all wish him well with Hucknall Town and i'm sure he will make a success of this move.”
