Cate Blanchett a target for Nottingham movie?
AFTER Sienna Miller was ousted from the cast of the forthcoming Robin Hood movie Nottingham, reports suggest that Cate Blanchett is the next target for the Maid Marian role opposite Russell Crowe.
As rumours continue as to why Miller is no longer part of the set-up -- quitting after a fall-out with Crowe to a sacking for being "too young and thin" -- director Ridley Scott is said to have approached Golden Globe winner Kate Winslet, who declined the part.

Cate the new Marian?
Blanchett has appeared in Elizabeth, The Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Martin Scorsese's The Aviator, for which she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

“What a shame Kate Winslett turned the role of MM down I thought of her as soo as I read that cate B might play the part and low - what do I read Scott and I think a like. The best Maid Marion was in Kevin Kostners Robin Hood.”
