Capital One catering boss (41) dies in crash on A46
A MAN who died in a collision on the A46 was catering manager for Capital One in Nottingham.
Andrew Peel died on Tuesday morning when his Audi TT was in collision with a tractor and trailer and a VW Transporter van.
Mr Peel, 41, was travelling from Groby when the smash happened near the junction with the A6 turn for Wanlip at about 6.45am. He died at the scene.
Capital One managing director Brian Cole said: "We have been overwhelmed with thoughts and offers from our employees and we know that Andy held a special place in many people's hearts and will be greatly missed by us all."
He added: "For now we have placed a memory book in our restaurant so that his colleagues and friends can use it to say goodbye, or share their thoughts about Andy.
"Our workplace chaplain has also helped us with her presence and support over this sad time."
Two men, aged 21 and 24, were arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
