POLICE in West Yorkshire believe two people linked to the large scale production of cannabis in Bradford may be hiding in Nottingham.

Officers want to speak to Nguyen Van Duc, 51, who is of Vietnamese origin, and Mei Ming Yu, 26, of Chinese origin, who are thought to have associates in the city.

They are among 11 people sought over almost 100 cannabis factories discovered in the Bradford area in the past two-and-a-half years.

Detective Inspector Neil Benstead said most of those arrested at the cannabis factories were Vietnamese and Chinese with alleged links to organised crime gangs.

The Evening Post reported in later editions yesterday how police seized more than 1,000 cannabis plants with a street value of more than £500,000 after raiding an industrial unit in Northern Court, Basford. The haul was one of the biggest in the history of the city.
