Campbell World Cup hope
FORMER Notts County defender Sol Campbell is refusing to give up hope on a stunning England recall for the World Cup this summer.
The 35-year-old won the last of his 73 caps more than two years ago and has never been selected by Fabio Capello – but he is ready to answer the call of the England boss if there is a shortage of available centre-backs.

After only playing one game for the Magpies before walking out of Meadow Lane last September, Campbell returned to Arsenal.
He has played five times for the Gunners as the club look to maintain their domestic and European challenge.
When asked about a possible England recall, Campbell said: "You never know. I might get a sniff here or there if I keep on playing. Why not?"

“Surpised he's got time for football, too busy suing! Surely England have got better centre backs than Campbell? Mike Edwards for South Africa!!!”

“"FORMER Notts County defender"
Isn't that stretching the truth a bit!
How many times was he on the pitch at Meadow lane?
I suppose John Terry is a former Forest player too!”
