Give your CV a makeover
NOW is the perfect time to update your CV whether you're looking for a new job or not. Here are our tips:
Date of birth. If this is still on your CV, remove it. Since the Age Discrimination Act came into play, you do not have to reveal your age to a prospective employer.
-

Up-to-date: Make regular revisions to your CV.
Marital status. This is not necessary, so remove it.
Include a personal statement. This is your sales pitch which should tell the employer immediately whether you are the right person for the job.
Details. This is your chance to talk about the things that make you a unique commodity. An employer will want to hear about your skills, talents and achievements, how entrepreneurial you are and what methodologies you use.
Show off a bit. Competition is fierce, so don't be afraid to show off on your CV.
