Rebel Soul Collective: It's Only Living EP
The mix of indie rock and electronica from this quintet is an interesting one. Opener Trash City, with its funk induced bass lines and indie beats, is a superb introduction to their latest EP. But they don't rely on creating more of the same as Relay is a bizarre little number, rich with layered keyboards. It's the best of the four tracks to showcase the stunning vocals of Ant Hagan. After the steady indie guitars on Selling Out, there's an injection of dance for Keep It Fierce.

Whatley and Stone: Woven
Gina Stone and Matt Whatley create a blend of soft electronica on this debut album, which the pair have also produced. And the quality of the finished product, which features a whopping 13 tracks, indicates much effort has gone in to getting it right. The synth-led melody I Cry, You Lie is typical of their output, a pleasant, if unchallenging, listen, topped by Stone's seductive vocals. A solid effort, if a little overlong.
