IT IS not just automatic promotion that is suddenly in Notts County's sights, it's the League Two title as well.

Such is their recent form, they are the team everybody has to watch out for as they go from strength-to-strength.

Since Steve Cotterill was appointed as manager, they have won all four matches, scored ten goals and still not conceded.

And against second-placed Bournemouth tonight, they can make it five on the spin and be sitting pretty with games in hand.

It is great to be talking about the Magpies' fortunes on the pitch instead of the circus that came into town.

During all the Munto Finance era, the Sven-Goran Eriksson tenure and Sol Campbell fiasco, the players kept Their heads down and have got on with the job in hand.

They have had blips but have always been in and around the top seven which is a great achievement on its own.

Fair play to Cotterill (pictured) for coming in and making a perfect start. He has instilled that bit of discipline, organisation and structure into on-field matters that might have been lacking. The players themselves admit he instills a bit of fear into them.

But it is the players that are doing the business on the pitch and at the minute, they are full of confidence.

Victory against Bournemouth tonight would make not just promotion, but their title chance, look even better.

Good on them, I say. After the circus they have had to endure this season, they deserve to end it on a real high.
