Burch: I wasn't prepared to be a pampered Premier League No.2
NOTTS County goalkeeper Rob Burch was happy to swap the pampered lifestyle of being at a Premier League club for washing his own kit after five frustrating years at Tottenham Hotspur.
Burch, 26, never played a game for Spurs. Instead, he was loaned out to Woking, Stevenage, West Ham, Bristol City and Barnet, before leaving White Hart Lane just over three years ago.

After a season at Sheffield Wednesday, he dropped into League Two to join Lincoln City and spent the last two seasons with the Imps, making 100 appearances for them, before joining the Magpies on a two-year deal this summer ahead of their campaign in League One.
"It's not until you leave a club like Tottenham that you realise it's not normal and there are not many clubs with the facilities they have," said Burch.
"They have the perfect training ground and everything is done for the players. Their kit is always ready and the food is top-drawer. In the lower levels, you're cleaning your own kit.
"I don't mind that. I was prepared to do it to play games because there is no better buzz than that.
"It was nice being at Tottenham but three points and a clean-sheet on a Saturday for Lincoln was great, and I'm now looking to do that here at Notts."
Notts have cancelled their match at Arnold Town tomorrow night.

“Yeah I agree Rob, problem is there were not many clean sheets at the gImps last season never mind 3 points! They are a laughing stock of a club!
At least you have now moved to a club on the up.”
