BROXTOWE Borough Council is planning two major events to celebrate the efforts of local soldiers.

Members of the 170 (Infrastructure Support) Engineer Group will exercise their Right of Freedom of the borough with a march through Beeston on Saturday, March 20.

It will be followed by the annual Broxtowe Borough Charity Heroes Ball at the East Midlands Conference Centre on Saturday, March 27, at 7pm.

Tickets cost £30 each and include a wine reception, three-course dinner, and a disco.
