Brewery to take HMV vouchers in part payment
CASTLE Rock Brewery, which operates across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire, has decided to accept worthless HMV gift vouchers as part payment for drinks and meals at its 20 real ale and food pubs.
Colin Wilde, Castle Rock managing director, said: "We are prepared to cut our margins to soften the cruel hand that the HMV administrators have dealt.
"We welcome families and individuals to come along, spend at least the value of the gift voucher on food and drink, pass the voucher over and we'll give back a quarter of the value of the voucher," he says.
Castle Rock pubs in Nottingham include the Poppy and Pint, the Stratford Haven and the Kean's Head.
