Breeze Club stays closed after serious disorder as authority revokes its licence
A CITY nightclub has had its licence revoked following an incident of serious disorder.
Police were called to Breeze Club, in Huntington Street, early on Saturday, February 2. As a result, the force asked for a review of the licence.

Nottingham City Council Licensing Authority has decided the licence should be revoked.
A police spokesman said: "This decision was not taken lightly but was considered an appropriate and proportionate response to ensure public safety and prevent further crime and disorder, following a series of unprovoked assaults which involved the use of bottles and chairs as weapons."

The revoking of the licence means the venue can no longer operate as a licensed premises and remains closed.
The authority's decision can be appealed within 21 days.
A spokesman added: "The Force and its partners take any incident where the safety of the public is put at risk very seriously and will seek to take prompt and effective action."

“This is an example of the police and other agencey's working well together to tackle a problem, the upshot is a positive result.
Where are all the positive comments saying "well done" to the police and council? . . . too many negative "Meldrews" leave comments on this site.
This is great news anyway and I am reassured that the police have acted accordingly.”
