A MAN who litter-picks in Bramcote every day has been nominated in the Green Angel category by Bramcote Councillor Stan Heptinstall.

Norman Clyde-Watson is the chair of Bramcote Ridge Group and helps look after the open space between Sandy Lane and Thoresby Road.

He also picks up litter on Thoresby Road every afternoon.

Coun Heptinstall said: "Every day at about 4.30pm he is seen removing litter that has been thoughtlessly dropped by motorists and pedestrians.

"This action has encouraged several residents to plant flowers at the base of the trees on Thoresby Road.

"So through Norman's actions, Bramcote is a greener, tidier and more pleasant place."
