Bradford v Forest: Team news
NOTTINGHAM Forest named an attacking line-up at Bradford City in the first round of the Carling Cup, despite seeing five players missing on international duty and three through injury.
Kelvin Wilson was ruled out of the squad altogether with an ankle injury, while Paul McKenna and Dexter Blackstock were only fit enough for a place on the bench for emergency cover.
Chris Gunter, Robert Earnshaw (both Wales), Radi Majewski (Poland), Ryan Bertrand (England under-21) and Brendan Moloney (Ireland under-21) were all away with their respective countries.
But Forest reverted back to the 4-2-3-1 formation that they favoured through pre-season with Joel Lynch drafted into the centre of defence alongside Wes Morgan, with Luke Chambers and Chris Cohen at full-back.
Lewis McGugan and Guy Moussi slotted into the holding midfield roles in front of the back four, with Matt Thornhill, Garath McCleary and Paul Anderson playing just behind lone striker Nathan Tyson.
Dele Adebola was the only fully fit senior player named on the bench.
