Booth has four stitches in head wound
NOTTINGHAM'S Jason Booth had four stitches in the head wound he suffered after a clash of heads with Rocky Dean at the York Hall on Tuesday.
The British super-bantamweight champion wants his next fight to be in front on his hometown fans at Harvey Hadden LC – probably in September.
-

"Jason still wants a European title but we are looking for a nice easy defence in early September," said trainer Tony Harris. "Then we want to go for a world title. The better the opponent, the more Jason raises his game."
Promoter Frank Maloney is keen on a Rendall Munroe v Booth showdown, but Booth insists he will not fight his old friend and sparring partner.
"It is possible Munroe would vacate the European when he gets a world title shot and Jason could step in," said Harris. "Frank has 16 shows next season so there is plenty of potential out there.
"We are looking at a Commonwealth bantamweight title defence at Harvey Hadden. It would give us the chance to showcase former amateur Curtis Valentine.
"With Tyrone Wright also on the bill we would sell the place out."
Harris says the camp is buzzing following Booth's impressive win over Dean.
"We are having a bit of fun at the moment," added Harris. "Jason was superb, wasn't he?
"You could say we were quite pleased, but there are still a couple of things to iron out.
"It was very, very hot. Even I lost weight. We had ice and four bottles of water.
"I told Jason to try and conserve his punches but he still threw 1,127.
"But that's just what we are doing in the gym every day."
Booth's performance was particularly impressive considering the early cut and the mad dash to get to the venue.
"We were initially told that we were on at 10pm," said Harris. "Then we got a call saying we were on earlier. We were still in the hotel about seven miles away.
"It wouldn't have been a problem. But a lorry was blocking the tunnel and we got diverted.
"We were worried we would lose the title by default. Luckily, I know my way around that area and we got there with 35 minutes to spare."
