“Spirita Resident i am living on Brewster's rd i really feel sorry for the children i know the police are trying to communicate with the youths but im against the police coming to this area with armed response units at all times, 1 occasion walking my dog a Volvo police car stopped at the end of the street while a policeman got out of the vehicle carrying a fire arm walking towards me and he ask me if i have seen a youth with a description i replied to the officer yes mi duck have you tried Northern Ireland my point is this city has cut down on gun crime and i think the local police need more training on respecting people in a different manner look every 1 who live in st anns there's no bank,s sorry there are shops with cash points machines but they charge more then the local bus fair to town my last point of action the local police station wot a waste of money, the money should be spent on the community and theres no newsagent , but i love St Ann's”

“I am a modulator who polices a different site . I work 10 hours a day reading all the posts, deciding which post stays and which post goes, its like playing god. The stress is huge, its no wonder they call my job the widow maker as the average life span of a modulator life is 50 years because of stress and pressure to get it right. I spent 3 years at modulator college and 18 months on a health & safety course before I was allowed to make judgement on peoples posts. The other journalists treat me like dirt, not respecting the job I do. So please when making a post think about the job we modulators do and make your writings short but sweet, thank you.”

“Spirita Resident, i agree. I blame the parents tho, the number of times I've confronted them only for their parents to encourage them even more by protesting their innocence. does my nut in!”

“That old scrote with the asbo,
let him out now and we can use him as a guy on the bonfire.
he's a waste of space and has no where to live so we would be saving a few bob as well.”

“I feel sorry for kids now. When I was growing up in the late 70s and early 80s the time around bonefire night was brill. The older kids would nick their grandads clothes, stick newspaper in it and put it in a pram and go out begging for a penny a guy and use the money to buy more fireworks . You could build bonfires so big you could see them from outer space, and no health and safety prats around to stop you. So a few fences or sheds would burn down but everybody would see the funny side. O.k a tiny few small childen would go to hospital with serious burns and maybe a few lives were lost .but thats the chance you took. life is boring now for kids.”

“when i was kid in the early 80's there were adverts warning of the dangers of fireworks that used to scare the bejesus out of you ( im now a man of 31 and i still wont pick up an old sparkler with the wrong end, no matter how long its been on the ground! ). you dont see these kind of ads anymore, im not saying its the answer and would cure the problem overnight but striking a bit of fear into kids over the repercussions of misuse of fireworks surely wouldnt do any harm”
