Billy Davies wants to make Nottingham Forest even stronger for the promotion run-in
BILLY Davies is still looking for ways to make his Nottingham Forest squad even stronger, as he looks to help the Reds extend their remarkable run of form.
Six straight wins have lifted Forest into fifth place in the Championship table and emphatically revived their play-off hopes.

But the manager says he is still on the look out for possible loan signings, as he seeks to ensure the Reds have enough strength in depth for the final eight games of the campaign.
Davies has compiled a list of potential loan targets from Premier League and Championship clubs – and says he will move if the right player is available.

"We are still looking. I have looked at the squads in the Championship and the Premier League and, if the players are there, we will add," said boss Davies.
"But, it is not as easy as that. Until the window closes, however, we will look to add to the squad, definitely."
Davies is yet to make a signing since embarking on a second spell at the club, but he has also maintained a consistent approach to selection, rarely making a change to his starting line-up unless injury or suspension has enforced it.
Only 14 different players have been used in the starting line-up, in the Scotsman's seven games in charge.
But one player who will be hoping to force his way into the reckoning is Lewis McGugan.
The midfielder scored after coming off the bench for the third game in a row and Davies admits he has been impressed with his attitude – and his impact.
"Lewis was very close to starting on Saturday," said Davies. "I told him I was thinking about it.
"But it is nice to see him having a smile on his face again, around the place. He looks a much happier player.
"He is certainly back to doing what he does best.
"It is good for the young lad, because confidence is everything. He has got goals in him, there is no question about that."
Davies says McGugan is close to peak fitness again, after telling the midfielder that he had taken his weight loss too far when he first returned as manager.
"He has to get the balance right," said Davies. "He went too far, when it came to trying to lose weight.
"He went at it too much. He has to find a balance.
"But the most important thing we have done is put a smile on his face.
"When we first came back, that was missing. Now he is happy, he is working hard, he is getting himself in good condition and he is a fantastic asset."

LMAO.
The Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh from RAMS fans is the calm before the storm..... waiting for your inevitable failure again in the playoffs ( Love our end of season Panto) then the floodgates will open normal service will be resumed , Billy Davies will be back to moaning and you lot will scuttle away back into the woodwork from where you came.

“BuddyBonney I Also do not come on here much but as Billy has taken over i'm interested to see whats being said lol. Anyway you are having a good run no doubt about that and also at the right time no doubt about that either so enjoy your moment ***odu can take away the 6 wins and now up in the top 6 places at the right time of the season.
Im not going to say we are having a great season over at Derby becuase we dont have the depth of squad to achieve anything this season, you on the other hand have under achieved all season having such a big squad and some good players.
History says the team going into the playoffs in form have the strongest chance of getting promotion.
I don't like Billy Davies i never have, even when he helped us win promotion when you lot were in the 3rd division he was still a nasty little so and so. His only agenda was and still is Billy Davies and his big mouth spouting off all the time about he has done this and he has done that and this is why we didnt achieve this etc:
Good luck with him you will need it, 6 wins or 16 wins in a row once promoted he lacks everything a top manager needs to get on in the premier league.”

“I dont often make comments on our rivals but.......
Has anyone else noticed the lack of sheep and Festa on here lately?.
There hardly ONE comment !.
I know we expect it from the sheepies, [Great win the other night by the way], but when we were invaded by the Crisps because they were telling us how good they are, you couldnt keep them off here.!
NOT ONE.....!
One in particular who gets up yer nose is "OUTFOXEDYER".
He was really looking forward to his visit to the CG......
BET YOU CANT WAIT NOW...!”

“I'm at Sydney airport now about to get on a plane back to the uk and back to Nottingham for 4 weeks. Glad to hear we have support in Aus morninchile ! Billy has been simply amazing for our club since coming in, looking forward to going to the CG to watch the boys v Blackpool. If one our strikers could regularly find the net then we would be untouchable. Don't care though if Darlow scores for us as long as we keep winning!”

“I read the article on the bus into work this morning. Was surprised that Billy was to get sacked even if we did get up...but not surprised that MA had scuppered a host of opportunities.
Any fans in Australia (like me) can watch the delayed Brighton game on Setanta at 8.45 on Easter Sunday morning. Better than any egg for sure!!! It's not live but I think i'll sleep through Forest Player and just have a media blackout and hide in a church (likely lads style!!).
Really proud of the club and Billy is working wonders. The players look so happy on Nat's interviews. Also, the fans sound superb when I have listened. Would loved to have been at Hull when McGugan fired in the winner.
A winger (or two) and a striker. I think we are fine everywhere else...I voted for a RW. I wouldn't drop anyone but would be good to have some pace on the bench to change games.”

“I doubt that Wolves would even consider letting him go while they are currently struggling at the wrong end of the Championship but for me Bakary Sako would be worth looking at maybe for next season particularly if Wolves take he drop. He causes defences problems, would offer us options on the left wing and would settle in well with the quality players already at the CG. Regardless of which division we find ourselves playing in next season I think this lad would strenthen our squad. Anyone think likewise?....KTF!”

“Mart told me billy likes stella signings so with a bit of luck we might get some decent players in and get rid of a few of SOD useless signings, we need Ben Marshall pace and finally someone who might get us 20 goals a season”
