Billy Davies can lead Nottingham Forest into Premier League, says Fawaz Al Hasawi
BILLY Davies can lead Nottingham Forest into the Premier League – and will be backed in his efforts to build a promotion push this season, said Fawaz Al Hasawi.
The Reds chairman and owner says Davies will be given the chance to make loan signings, once he assesses what he feels is needed in the squad.
And, significantly, Al Hasawi believes he has appointed a man who knows what it takes to build a challenge for a top-six finish this season, even with time running out.
"In this league, you do not know what can happen. We still have enough games left to do it," said Al Hasawi.

"He took Derby into the Premier League and now he can do it with us. He has taken Forest into the top six twice, he knows what that takes and how to achieve it.
"He knows the Championship, he knows how to build a successful side. I think he can do it for us.
"We have spoken a little. But he knows about this club, because he has been here before.
"He does have to sit with the players, he has to get to know the players and assess what is happening with the training and their routines. Then he will give me his decision on how he wants to do things; on what he wants from us."
Al Hasawi says Forest will give Davies the chance to make additions in the loan market.
"The loan window is open. If he tells me what he wants, in terms of the positions, we will help him however we can," he said.
"We have signed 18 players this season. But those players have been brought in by Sean O'Driscoll and Alex McLeish, not by me. I did not interfere with one player. Because these are not my decisions to make.
"Billy is the one who is going to decide who will come and who will leave the club. The loan window is open and I think Billy will take some training sessions and decide then what he wants; what he thinks the side needs.
"We will leave it to Billy to choose what he wants."
