A TEENAGER who went to Gambia last year to teach found it so rewarding that she has returned there to build a classroom.

Beth Grainger, 19, has flown out to the African country, where she will spend a week on the project.

The teenager, who lives in Ilkeston, has gone with a group of 12 to build the classroom at Sir Dembo School in Bundung Borehole. The group are from the charity Every Last Drop, which was started by sixth form students at four Ilkeston schools to help youngsters in Gambia.

Before leaving for the trip last Tuesday they had to raise £3,500 for building materials.
