Benefit gig for vegan prisoner support group
A BENEFIT gig is being held for a group campaigning for the rights of jailed vegans.
Since the Vegan Prisoner Support Group was set up in 1994, guidelines for the treatment of vegans and vegan toiletries have been provided at all British prisons.
Caseworkers are also allocated to each vegan prisoner to assist them during their sentence and helplines and emergency arrest lines are available seven days a week.
The concert will feature performances from local bands, food from Nottingham caterers Veggies and there will be stalls representing various animal rights groups.
It will start at 8pm on Wednesday, April 29, at The Navigation, in Wilford Street, Nottingham.
