Basford artist Lord Biro comes eleventh in Eastleigh by-election
BASFORD artist and poet Lord Biro has come eleventh at a by-election in Eastleigh.
Lord Biro, also known as David Bishop, received 72 votes at the polls, 13,200 short of the eventual winner Mike Thornton for the Liberal Democrats.

The UK Independence Party candidate Diane James came second with 11,571 votes, and the Conservative candidate Maria Hutchings third with 10,559 votes.
However, Mr Bishop wasn't bottom of the polls - he beat candidates standing for the English Democrats, Trade Unionists and Socialists Against Cuts and the Wessex Regionalist parties.
