BARTOSZ Bialkowski is ready to face the striker that put him in hospital, saying: "I don't hold a grudge!"

Notts County play Leyton Orient in League One at Meadow Lane tomorrow night (7.45pm) – and it was only five weeks ago that the Magpies' No.1 goalkeeper suffered a nasty head injury in a challenge with their striker Charlie MacDonald.

Reckless MacDonald was only booked in the wake of the incident at Brisbane Road.

But Bialkowski ended up having seven stitches in the side of his head, spent the night in a London hospital and was sidelined for four league games.

His concussion was so bad he can't even remember the game, which Notts lost 2-1, ending their long unbeaten away run under former boss Keith Curle. This is a big game for Notts in the promotion bid – and Bialkowski insists he will not hesitate going in for a 50-50 ball with MacDonald again if he needs to.

"I can't remember anything about it, but I have watched it back on video and it was quite bad, but I don't think he tried to hurt me," he said.

"I ended up in hospital, but that has gone. That's football – it is a contact game and I'm not going to hide away from being brave again if I need to be. It's going to be just another game for me."

Bialkowski was the Magpies' hero as they beat Carlisle 1-0 on home soil in their last game, making three top-class saves in the second half.

It is a victory that has put Notts eight points outside the play-offs with 11 games of the season left.

"It was a massive win for us and we just need to go out and keep winning games," added Bialkowski.

"It's that stage of the season where drawing is not good enough."
