Balderton slip up at the top
LEADERS Balderton slipped to another home defeat in Division One of the Newark Alliance.
Bracebridge Heath and 2007 champions Sleaford are now breathing down their necks.
Balderton were shot out for 55 by visitors Gedling Colliery who won by eight wickets to ease their relegation fears.
Bracebridge Heath were awarded a walkover against Kimberley Institute who become the first team to be relegated this season.
Another walkover for Lenton at Attenborough secured their promotion to Division One. They still have Plumtree to worry about with regards to the title after half-centuries from Rob Tapp and Matt Tew gained Plumtree a six-wicket win at East Drayton.
Clifton Village managed to put out a strong enough side in Division Three to keep their own title hopes alive as they beat lowly Sherwood Casuals (134) by two wickets. That leaves Casuals teetering on the brink along with Thurgarton, who lost at home to Oxton by 45 runs.
