HANS Backe today challenged his players to keep winning.

The Magpies have won back-to-back games for the first time under the Swede, against Bournemouth in the FA Cup and Darlington in League Two at Meadow Lane last night.

Notts moved up one place to sixth in the League Two table and closed the gap on their promotion rivals with the 4-0 win against Darlington.

It was their first league victory under Backe and he said: "I haven't thought too much about that, but we have had too many draws over the last eight or nine games.

"The most important thing against Darlington was to get the three points. We did that and we got four goals and we could see the depth in our squad. Hopefully we can find a winning run now.

"I really hope we can go and get some away wins now. We have been close, definitely against Bury and we were a little bit unlucky at Rochdale.

"Hopefully we can play this kind of football away too."

The Magpies led 3-0 after only 17 minutes, with goals from Luke Rodgers, Lee Hughes and Ben Davies.

And Hughes made it 4-0 with his 14th goal of the season in the second half.

"It was the perfect start when you play a team at the bottom of the table and you score three in less than 20 minutes," added Backe.

"After a really tough game against Bournemouth on Saturday on a heavy pitch you can have a feeling to change players and get some fresh legs in just three days later.

"We had (Johnnie) Jackson and (Neal) Bishop injured so we played (Ben) Davis and (Ricky) Ravenhill central.

"It shows the depth in our squad that we can still play like this with some players out.

"There are no easy games and I was impressed with Darlington's work ethic even when they were three down. They still kept going all of the time.

"We said at half-time we had to be professional in the second half and go for the fourth goal, don't play sloppy passing game."

Backe said Jackson would still be out for the Magpies' trip to Hereford United in League Two on Saturday with a knee ligament problem but Bishop would be back from an ankle problem.

NOTTS have released Sol Campbell's registration and he may now sign for a new club in January.

The England defender walked out in September, a month into a five-year deal, after only playing one game for the club.

It is understood Campbell has agreed to the original conditions offered by Notts.

Your attendances dont bother me in the least ..its just makes me laugh when your fellow magpies come on here spouting how you,ll get 3,500 going to an away game when u can only get 4,500 for a home match and on that subject it dont bother me who were playing.. I go to watch Forest.
Your lot seem pretty obsessed with our gates though particularly mike who went through a phase of asking where our missing 10,000 were...not that they were ever missing..”
