City centre: People will get the chance to have their feet nibbled by fish while raising money for seriously-ill children.

The Garra Rufa fish foot treatment, a new spa craze, will be offered for free in the Broadmarsh Centre on Wednesday, May 25.

People having a trial of the treatment by AquaChic will have the opportunity to donate the cost of the treatment to children's charity When You Wish Upon A Star, which aims to grant wishes for seriously ill children.

The sessions will take place from 5.45pm to 7pm. To book a place e-mail joanne.roberts@westfield-uk.com by May 20.

Bilborough: A former youth council chairman can lay claim to the title of Britain's youngest councillor.

The Post previously reported that Bilborough College student Tom Hollis was the youngest councillor in the country, after being elected for the Liberal Democrats in Sutton North at the age of 18 years and 85 days.

However, a younger candidate was elected to Breckland District Council in Norfolk.

Conservative Stuart Green, who has also served as a member of the Youth Parliament, was elected at the age of 18 years and 66 days.

Nottingham: People can find out about work done to investigate digestive disease at an open day today at the Queen's Medical Centre.

Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre, at the National Institute for Health Research, based at the QMC, will showcase its work and do live demonstrations to mark International Clinical Trials day.

The open day was due to take place from noon to 2pm.
