BREAKING NEWS: Winding-up petition against Notts County dismissed
NOTTS County have had a winding-up petition against them dismissed in a matter of seconds in the High Court today.
The Magpies were defending a petition from Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs.
The HMRC issued them with the petition over late payment of a tax bill that was due on December 19 last year.
The club have issued a statement, which reads: "Notts County can confirm that the winding up petition brought against the club by Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs has been dismissed.

"The petition was dismissed in a matter of seconds at a hearing in London on Monday morning."
Notts insist they are now completely up to date with payments to HMRC and in a strongly-worded statement last night called the action against them by HMRC 'both disruptive and damaging'.
They now plan to seek legal advice to recover the money they have spent defending the petition and also punitive damages.
