Auctioneer Carl Froch gives it some real hammer!
WORLD super-middleweight champion Carl Froch delivered some knock-out prices when he turned auctioneer for the morning, at John Pye & Sons Ltd.
The firm, who sponsor Nottingham Forest, are also backing Froch's IBF title defence against Yusaf Mack on Saturday.
As part of the deal Froch popped into their Basford headquarters yesterday.
MD Adam Pye said: "Carl delivers knockout blows, Pyes deliver knockout prices – so we thought we'd offer him the chance to give it some hammer on the rostrum to auction some premium stock ahead of the big fight night."

Business Development Director Sheldon Miller was impressed by Froch's first attempt at being an auctioneer.
"He did very well to be fair. It was quite an eye opener," he said.
"You need confidence and a presence to do the job and he took to it very well.
"It was a bit of fun for the customers and I think Carl got something from it himself.
"He said it took his mind off the big fight for a while. He says he will be back soon to buy a few things himself."
The undercard for Froch v Mack is headed by Froch's sparring partner, Tony Bellew.
He takes on Argentine Roberto Feliciano Bolonti for the vacant WBC Silver light-heavyweight title.
Bellew is looking to impress and set up a clash with Chad Dawson or Tavoris Cloud.
"I want to put the pressure on someone like Chad Dawson to face me," said Bellew. "I am not a lucrative match for people to face and I believe I am maximum risk and minimal reward, so I have to force one of these champions into facing me.
"All I want to do is become a mandatory challenger, very similar to the way Kell Brook has done it.
"Roberto Bolonti is another step in the right direction. It is a WBC eliminator and he is No.5 with the WBC.
"I believe it is the best belt in boxing, so it would be a dream come true.
"There is now a blueprint to beat Chad Dawson after what Andre Ward did to him."
Former Meadows professional Fred Wingfield, has passed away. He was 83. Wingfield was also well known in local basketball circles, having founded the Jets in 1968.
His funeral is at Grantham crematorium on Friday (4.15pm).
