DETECTIVES have been granted more time to question a man about a shooting outside a St Ann's grocery store.

Two shots were fired outside the Premier store, known as Smithy's, in Wells Road, just after 1pm on Monday.

The shots smashed a glass panel and damaged a vegetable stand in the store.

A 20-year-old Nottingham man was arrested on Tuesday in Radford on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to the incident.

Detectives were yesterday granted 12 more hours to interview him.

Police are appealing for help from any witnesses to the incident.
