Asylum seeker nominated for award
ASYLUM seeker Amdani Juma has been nominated for a Reach Out Award.
He has been nominated by Patsy Brand from the Refugee Forum.
She said: "He sought asylum in the UK and was granted Humanitarian Protection.
"He immediately threw himself into voluntary work in Nottingham, first as an interpreter then advisor at the Refugee Forum.
"In five years Amdani has built up an amazing record of voluntary service and has earned the respect of not only other refugees for whom he is a role model, but also of many local people."
