POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery at a petrol station.

Officers were called to the Nuthall Road Filling Station and Tesco Express store, in Aspley, shortly after midnight today.

The petrol station has been cordoned off while a forensic examination of the scene takes place.

No one was injured but officers are still trying to establish what exactly was stolen during the robbery. It is not clear how many offenders were involved.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or knows anything about it.
