Arrest after man suffers serious head injury in assault

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault after another man suffered from a serious head injury.

Emergency services were called to an address on Queen Street, Long Eaton, at 5.25pm on Sunday.

A 53-year-old man was found with a serious head injury and was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, where he is undergoing treatment.

He remains in a critical condition.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.
