Armed robber held up Farnsfield news agents with a knife

AN ARMED robber wearing a hat with fur ear flaps held up a Farnsfield news agents with a knife and stole cash.

The incident happened in the Allsorts news agents in Main Street at about 5.15pm yesterday.

The man entered the shop produced a knife and threatened the shop assistant before making off with cash.

The shop assistant was not injured.

Police are keen to reassure the public that this is believed to be an isolated incident. They are appealing or witnesses who may have seen the man or anything unusual at this time.
