He said: "I looked outside and about seven or eight police cars just converged silently on this house.
"Three or four armed police officers were pointing at the upstairs window and were screaming at the house saying 'you walk down the stairs with your hands up'.
"It was quite unnerving watching them point a loaded gun and shouting like that."
Notts Police said the raid was a planned operation to arrest a 20-year-old man in connection with an incident on Sunday, February 24, when a shotgun was fired through the window of a house in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
No one was hurt during Sunday's operation or the incident in Kirkby.
In the same raid police arrested two other men, aged 21 and 41, and a youth aged 17, on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All four were still in custody being questioned by detectives last night.
