Apprenticeships for ex-students
NOTTINGHAM teenagers who have dropped out of school or college are being encouraged to sign up for an apprenticeship.
Training specialists by training provider Positive Outcomes aim to help 16 to 18-year-olds.
Since January, a fifth of applicants for apprenticeships with the firm did so after dropping out of higher or further education.
Managing director Chris Longmate said: "We recognise that further education isn't for everyone and are keen to encourage teenagers who want an alternative way to learn to let us match them with an apprenticeship."
