Apply now for MMG Battle of the Bands

LOCAL musicians are invited to apply to enter for MMG East Midlands Battle of the Bands 2013.

Initial heats will take place across the region during April, including Nottingham and Newark, leading up to a national final in London.

"It will give bands the opportunity to win prizes that really will move them forward," says MMG's Ryan Majchrowski.

"Prizes are designed to support new talent and accelerate their development."

They include recording time, merchandise packages, tours and festival dates.

"We pride ourselves knowing that the prizes we give really do make a difference and combined with our support we have enabled a number of bands to access different areas of the UK, sign to labels, be featured on TV and support A-list touring acts."

First round heats take place at the Old Angel in Stoney Street on April 27 and the Fox & Crown pub in Newark on April 25.

Second rounds will be hosted at the same two pubs in June with the regional final at The Shed, in Leicester, in July.

The winners of each round will be decided by audience votes. The grand final judges will consist of music industry experts.
