Appeal for volunteers to help in Notts conservation work
INTO WOODS: Forestry Commission ranger Seb Tighe leads off conservation volunteers in Silverhill Wood, Notts, taking part in vital conservation work including tree planting, brush clearing, wetland management and coppicing. Help is also needed in Ollerton, Wellow, Silverhill, Shirebrook, Oxclose (near Mansfield Woodhouse) and Boundary Woods, near Blidworth. Each of the woods is worked in turn with sessions held on Wednesdays and Thursdays and once a month on Sundays from 10am to 2pm.
