Angler catches 'ghost' on camera
NEXT time Malcolm Miller goes night fishing at Bulcote Farm he may feel a little spooked.
For he'll be looking over his shoulder for this ghostly apparition.
The spectral figure was unwittingly snapped during Malcolm's last trip to the favourite haunt of carp fishermen in Bulcote.
The 36-year-old, from Carlton, felt a chill as he saw the photo taken by pal Alan Buxton.
"There was nothing there when the photo was taken," said Malcolm, who has been fishing at Bulcote Farm for more than 20 years.
"It has absolutely spooked everybody. I don't believe in ghosts or anything like that but there is definitely something there.
"I think you can make out a proper skeleton face, of a soldier or something, with a baby in his arms.
"I was absolutely shocked. It's somewhere we spend a lot of time; nothing has ever been seen like that before."
Malcolm had been fishing with Alan, 39, of Netherfield, and two other friends at about 4pm on November 21.
He didn't notice the picture of the ghost until the next day and added: "We have been fishing there for years. I have never seen anything like this before. There are always strange little things happening down there like cracking branches and cold spots, but we didn't notice anything different.
"When you walk into that area you do always feel a bit funny about it."
Malcolm has since heard stories about people being followed by apparitions and even abandoning their gear and fleeing the lake because of a ghost.
He admits they may sense an extra chill in the air on their next night-fishing trip.
"We have to sleep down there and then we fish for carp," he said. "We either pack up now or we stay and get spooked."

“A picture of an random event that the urban man, who would have be sighted, cannot say which way up the claim could be. You could check that even the smallest detail and come back with the point of no return. The information could have turned and made a systematic presentation. The possessed image would then have made no impression of a Ghost. The fact that the supreme principle of all objects is that light bounces off a smooth image at the speed of light. The danger is the existence of man made light which could make even the smallest detail seem more in turned with the concept. We must assume that there is no other proof and even the laws of nature would not give freedom of each fact. The causality of image would cause a ripple of light. We can readliy use this to compute that "Ghost" has we see from our eyes are only the noted careful view of pearance and condition of the understanding of image and light. Do not have doctrinal faith in the concept of "ghosts" but of Ghosts in the second sense and not in the first. I guess that I am saying that or presupposing that the claim be false.”

“What's happened to the 'Is Miss Black Britain Racist' argument?
There was so much more to get ones' teeth into
Thisall seems ethereal to me.
Howeever, I do believe in ghosts, but this one looks as if it could possibly be a big bit of polythene nrather than a poltergeist”

“Well, Malcolm & Alan, it certainly wasn't a hair raising experience. More like codswallop smearing the camera's lens.”
