POLICE have seized 244 cans and bottles of alcohol from underage drinkers in Rainworth over the last five months.

Most of the haul came from Operation Accloy. It involved a police youth issue officer, PCSO's and an anti-social behaviour officer from Newark & Sherwood District Council.

During the night of Friday, August 15, 128 alcohol cans and bottles were seized in four hours.

PCSO John Arins said: "Adults are purchasing alcohol from various outlets to supply to juveniles within the Preston Road location."

Anyone caught doing so, including a parent, faces an £80 fine.

Find who's selling it to them and revoke their licence to trade in anything.
Then fine them a shed load of cash.”
