NOTTINGHAM Forest have been linked with Barnet starlet Albert Adomah.

The Reds, according to reports in the Daily Mirror, have reportedly scouted the winger, 22, in recent months.

The League Two player is out of contract in the summer after turning down a new deal at Underhill and will be available for just compensation.

“Yes Mark, it's a boring little town 65 miles from Nottingham, where I wish I still lived. The only point I was making is that Billy should have the power to do all these things and not be forever disregarded by the Silent Ones!”

“Panels and committees = collective responsibility = somewhere for the incompetent to hide. Meetings = the practical alternative to doing something. We could argue this all day but majewski's magic feet makes the point well that BD and the team are responsible for where we are today ¿ if the board trust him to lead us to the Premiership then they will back him.”

    “Billy wants Victor Moses!
Billy wants to keep Nicky Shory! Billy wants Swansea's Pratley! Billy wants to sign Raddy up!
Billy wants to re-locate the away fans!
Billy. Who the f*** is Billy?
    BC must be turning over.”

“we are in the position we are in today because of BD. what this man has done in a year is quite simply amazing. the fact that we are 3rd in the league with a strong possibility of getting into the premiership should be enough reason to give BD what he wants (within reason). the premiership skyline is in the horizon.. and the premiership = a big ca$h payday. its worth investing a little now and reaping the reward come may.”

“Panels and committees aren't designed to protect weak leaders. They are used to minimise the risk of putting the future of your business in one man's hands. An aspiring, multi-million pound club like Forest, who we all care about, cannot jeopardise its future by letting the manager (no matter how capable he may be) gamble millions of pounds on mostly unproven assets. You just have to look at the countless examples, from Portsmouth, to Leeds, to us under Platt. Do we have to go there again before we learn a lesson?

The fact that we have a panel of scouts and professionals has got us where we stand today. And why is everyone always banging on about Pleat? It's the 'Acquisitions Panel', not just one man.

One final thought, if it hadn't been for the panel and Colin Calderwood had been given an open purse, do you think we would be third in the league, in touching distance of promotion, with a quarter of the season to go? Especially considering where we finished last season.”

“Clough has "made a few calls and will have a 'keeper by the weekend". So that¿s how it¿s done..... Shame about the rest of it though.”

“Panels and committees are devices designed to protect weak leaders. If he¿s up to it, then give Davies a working budget and let him manage it; if he¿s not then get someone who is. Either way, the money that is being spent on salaries just to keep Pleat and Co employed would be better spent on people with boots who contribute to entertaining 25,000 fans 40 weeks per year. As Paul said, let the manager manage. Yes, we are in a great position compared to recent history and we have some fine and exciting players who arrived very cheaply compared to what you see many clubs paying, but it didn¿t need a panel or committee to bring them here, just a sound manager with vision.”

“Rob Jnr, fair point (although I did say in my original post that it was all just conjecture....brought about no doubt by being bored to death by the NEP). boredom leads to terrible things!! :D You're right in what you say though.”
