Adlington set for BUSA work-out
DOUBLE Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington will be swimming at the BUSA Championships in Sheffield tonight.
The Mansfield swimmer, who won 400m and 800m freestyle gold in Beijing in 2008, will swim in the heats.
The organisers are allowing outside competitors to take part but only University students can compete in the finals at Ponds Forge.
Adlington's Nova Centurion head coach Bill Furniss believes it will provide a stern work-out for the 22-year-old, who swam strongly when taking part in just the 400m freestyle heats at the Midlands Championships in Corby.
Adlington will start to taper down her workload with the Olympic trials at the new pool in Stratford, London, taking place from March 3.
