A 42-YEAR-OLD man has pleaded not guilty to two murders in Notts.

Peter Brown appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday charged with killing Darren Lancashire and Brian Flaherty.

Mr Lancashire, 43, was found dead in a flat above the Post Office in Main Street, Kimberley, on Wednesday January 6.

Mr Flaherty, 31, was found dead at an address in Derby Grove, Lenton, six days later.

Home Office postmortem examinations confirmed that both men had been stabbed.

Brown also denied five robberies, one attempted robbery, two assaults with intent to commit robbery, and one assault occasioning actual bodily harm, which occurred in the Kimberley, Arnold, and Netherfield areas on December 31 and January 1.

Brown was remanded into custody and will next appear at court on November 17.
