AN animal rights organisation is offering a £1,000 reward for information on horrific attacks on pets in Notts.

Two cats were shot with air rifles in Crossley Street and Crossman Street, Sherwood, on January 12 and 29.

A Yorkshire terrier, who had been kicked to death, was found in a plastic bag on the Great North Road behind Newark livestock market on January 21.

And a Staffordshire bull terrier puppy was found dead, weighted down with a brick, in a canal behind Lenton Lane, Lenton, on January 29.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is offering the reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Call the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.
